~~ The road we were on led us to a covered bridge just as
another car approached from the opposite direction.
At an impasse, the other driver...clearly feeling wronged...
shouted, "I never back up for idiots!"
My friend put her car in reverse and replied, "I do."

~~ Rae likes Groaners ;
The ship sank.
He was the lone survivor.
He swam towards a distant beach.
When he arrived there, he crawled up on the shore to rest
and count his blessings; that's when he saw the first one...
a pecan pie.
He then saw a banana split, a cup of vanilla gelato,
chocolate chip cookies, caramel apples, and yellow cake.
Suddenly he realized he was on a desserted island.

~~ A priest is walking down the street one day when he
notices a very small boy trying to press a doorbell on a house
across the street.
However, the boy is very small and the doorbell is too high
for him to reach.
After watching the boy's efforts for some time, the priest
moves closer to the boy's position.
He steps smartly across the street, walks up behind the little
fellow and, placing his hand kindly on the child's shoulder
leans over and gives the doorbell a solid ring.
Crouching down to the child's level, the priest smiles
benevolently and asks, "And now what, my little man?"
To which the boy replies, "Now we run!"

~~ Do You Believe in Life After Death?
The boss asked of one of his workers.
"Yes sir!"
"That's good, because after you left early to go to your
grandmas funeral, she called to see how you were doing.

~~ One day my mother was out, and my dad was in charge
of me.
I was maybe 2 1/2 years old.
Someone had given me a little 'tea set' as a gift, and it was
one of my favorite toys.
Daddy was in the living room engrossed in the evening news
when I brought him a little cup of 'tea', which was just water.
After several cups of tea and lots of praise for such yummy tea,
my mom came home.
My dad made her wait in the living room to watch me bring
him a cup of tea, because it was 'just the cutest thing!'
Mom waited, and sure enough, here I came down the hall with
a cup of tea for Daddy; and she watched him drink it up.
Then she said, (as only a mother would know),
"Did it ever occur to you that the only place she can reach
to get water, is the toilet?"

~~ I'm So Broke..... that when I went to the bank and asked
the cashier to check my balance...... She pushed me.

~~ Two Old Ladies were sitting in their armchairs sipping
tea and talking about their dead husbands.
One turned to the other and asked
"Did you have mutual orgasms?"
"No, I think we were with Prudential."

~~ My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.
Also, my memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

~~ My grandmother was the eldest of seven children,
and because her mother wasn't well, "Nana" looked after the
family.
Once, one of their chickens had been pecking in the compost
among the fermenting plums when suddenly she keeled.
Nana who was taught never to let food go to waste,
immediately plucked the chicken.
Just as the chicken was ready for the stewpot,
it suddenly awoke from its drunken stupor.
Cold weather was coming, and Nana was upset that the hen
would have to face it without feathers,
but solved the problem by knitting it a little sweater.
